Does acupuncture hurt? Is it safe?
Acupuncture is very safe when practiced by a licensed professional. There is an extremely low
risk of side effects. All needles used in Jessica's office are sterile - they are used only once and
then discarded immediately. Nothing is injected into or withdrawn from the body during
acupuncture treatment.
The needles used in acupuncture are very fine, and usually cause little or no pain on insertion.
Jessica uses several different needling styles, so you are encourage to give feedback while you
are on the table - this allows Jessica to make subtle adjustments and provide a treatment that is
safe and comfortable for you.
